A Saxon Shore forts topic pack for ages 7 to 11: meet Portchester, label a Roman fort wall, early and later forts, put-it-in-order and Roman-times-or-after cut-out cards, a true-or-false quiz, a crossword where every answer is a real fact, a word search, a comic strip, a colouring page, a certificate and full answers. The words “Saxon Shore” do not appear in the national curriculum in England, so the teacher page offers it alongside the Roman Empire unit as enrichment.

Not affiliated with English Heritage, Norfolk Archaeological Trust, the UK government, any other government or any museum. Their names, and the names of the places they look after, are used only to identify the places and sources we quote.
