A fact-checked Great Red Spot pack for ages 8–12: fill in a storm data table from NASA measurements, line up Earths across the storm at the same scale, graph how it has shrunk since the 1800s, map Jupiter’s belts and zones, explore its cloud layers and polar cyclones, then design your own storm.

What’s inside:

- Meet the Great Red Spot: a storm bigger than Earth, with a NASA photo

- How wide was it? Fill in a storm data table from NASA measurements (miles to km)

- Earths across the storm: ovals and an Earth ruler drawn to the same scale

- The shrinking storm: draw a bar graph from 1800s to 2014

- Belts and zones: colour and label the stripes

- Three layers of cloud

- Cyclones in shapes: Jupiter’s polar storms

- Design your own storm

- Answer key

- Credits, licence & sources

Pages: 11 (including cover and credits). Sizes: A4 (210 × 297 mm) and US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), both PDFs included in one zip.

Printing: Print at 100% / actual size on A4 or US Letter. Inside pages use light backgrounds and print well in black and white; covers are dark, so start from page 2 to save ink.

Every fact is checked against NASA, JPL and ESA web pages (checked 27 Oct 2026) and the sources are listed on each pack’s credits page. Facts that can change, such as moon counts, mission plans and how long the Great Red Spot has been watched, are true as of that date. Pictures are public-domain NASA, ESA and JPL images from Wikimedia Commons (plus one CC0 launch photo by SpaceX); artist’s impressions are labelled as such, and drawings, puzzles and layouts are REALLYBYTE’s own work. Not endorsed by NASA, ESA or JPL.
